Safe Content Management
With so many Internet born threats today, it is essential organizations provide adequate protection for users and back end systems they are connected to. Currently, the primary threat is from e-mail worms and viruses. However, we are seeing a steady rise in threats based on Internet browsing. A common misconception is that this is “spyware”. Although spyware falls under the category of safe content, it is generally considered more nuisance than threat. The real threat lies with Trojans and/or keystroke loggers, and Trojans in particular are on the rise. One of our technology partners refers to this as “grayware”. This term accurately illustrates the nebulous nature of these threats.,
How can you protect your organization? Layered security is the best approach. It is no longer adequate to have a single layer of protection on workstations and servers. Many of these exploits do not “write” to the hard drive, so they will not be detected by real-time technology. We recommend one or more gateway layers in addition to real-time protection. Syntax, Inc. can review your current perimeter infrastructure, make recommendations and provide the necessary technology to add the missing layers of protection.
