Citrix Access Gateway

The Citrix Access Gateway offers flexible products that integrate to provide smart and secure access to enterprise resources. Secure-by-design technologies such as the Access Gateway and the Secure Gateway, with Web Interface, securely extend the workplace.

Access Gateway

Citrix Access Gateway is the Citrix SSL VPN appliance that provides a secure, single-point of access for enterprise resources. The Access Gateway delivers “always on” access to network resources and is fully integrated with Web Interface and Presentation Server. When enhanced with the Advanced Access Control Option (included with the Enterprise edition) the Access Gateway can provide a granular security policy to network resources based on a users access scenario. The access scenario will control entry to web applications, Presentation Server enabled applications, network file services and other defined network protocols.

Advanced Access Control

The Advanced Access Control component of the Citrix Access Gateway provides the smart access capabilities including role and location based access control. The client device can be explored further by using the Advanced End-Point Analysis to detect items such as client side firewall, anti-virus software, custom options and much more.

Secure Gateway

The Secure Gateway works in conjunction with the Web Interface for Citrix Presentation Server to provide secure remote access to Presentation Server enabled applications. Secure Gateway acts as an SSL Proxy; encrypting and decrypting Citrix ICA traffic for use on nonsecure networks. These add-on components are included with Citrix Presentation Server licenses and are installed on an additional server(s) in order to provide secure access.
